The latest masterpiece by Feadship combines elegance, sustainability, and luxury. With flowing lines and eco-friendly propulsion, Sakura exudes beauty and responsible yachting. Her sleek design and Japandi-inspired interior create a serene ambiance. Featuring spacious decks, panoramic views, and seamless indoor-outdoor integration, Sakura offers a luxurious escape on the seas.

Named after the iconic Japanese cherry blossom, Sakura embodies the beauty and elegance associated with this enduring natural symbol. With her flowing organic lines and future-focused diesel-electric propulsion, this 71.76-meter (235’5”) superyacht showcases Feadship’s commitment to sustainable yachting. Currently under construction and set to grace the seas in the spring of 2025, Sakura is available for direct sale with the shipyard.

The exterior styling with steel hull and aluminium superstructure, designed by Studio De Voogt with the collaboration of Azure Naval Architects, is instantly recognizable yet discreetly calming. Drawing inspiration from Feadship’s Pure concept, the clean lines with beam overall di 12.40meter (40’8”) and graceful profile of Sakura exude a distinctive poise. From the extended sundeck forward to the 7-meter swimming pool aft, every aspect of the exterior profile is perfectly balanced, creating a harmonious connection with the water.

Sakura combines spacious decks for multi-generational activities and outdoor play with grand interior design by Italian studio FM Architettura d’Interni that draws on a Japandi style, that is the combination of Scandinavian warmth and functionality with Japanese sobriety and minimalism, to create a feeling of art, nature, and simplicity. This East-meets-West design approach perfectly complements the exterior, blending form and function with clean lines, bright spaces, and light colors.

Maarten Janssen, Feadship’s Sales Director, explains the vision behind Sakura: “We set out to build a yacht that captures the intimacy of a 71.76-metre yacht with the functionality and spaciousness of a much larger yacht. Balancing gorgeous spaces for interaction, entertainment and family time with sophisticated rooms for individual reflection and retreat, Sakura is a unique opportunity for a client looking for quick delivery of a brand new Feadship in this specific size bracket.”

Sakura’s raised pilothouse design allows for a dedicated owner’s deck—a rare feature on a yacht of this size—while maintaining a sleek, low-rise profile. The master stateroom, positioned forward, offers panoramic views through wrap-around, floor-to-ceiling glass windows. It boasts a private breakfast nook and hot tub with sidedeck access. The sky lounge doubles as a media room for family movie nights, while the open aft terrace sets the stage for al fresco dining with a full complement of guests. Every comfort imaginable is provided within these exceptional surroundings.

The evolution of the yachting lifestyle has brought about a shift towards more family-focused and multi-generational activities. Reflecting this new mindset, Sakura’s main deck aft has become the most important communal space on board. Feadship’s expertise in glass construction is fully leveraged, surrounding the main deck with floor-to-ceiling glass windows, allowing an abundance of natural light to flood the interior. Sliding glass doors seamlessly open onto the aft deck and swimming pool, creating a seamless connection with the outdoors. Teak stadium steps lead down to the large swim platform, contributing to Sakura’s signature look.

All guest accommodations, including four spacious guest staterooms and two VIP staterooms, are located on the main deck to maximize the wider beam and larger windows. Two forward VIP suites can be easily transformed into a single full-beam suite, creating a second owner’s stateroom—a valuable feature for chartering purposes for a capacity of up to14 guests.

Sakura’s wellness space in the stern is easily accessible to everyone on board and just steps away from the swim platform. With the touch of a button, the teak stadium steps open up to reveal a versatile wellness area, which can also be accessed via the engine room corridor. Depending on the owner’s preferences, this space can be converted into a gym, steam room, or massage room. Its proximity to the swim platform makes it an ideal location for a dive store.

The remaining areas of the lower deck are dedicated to crew quarters able to host eighteen members (twelve crew in six cabins, four officers in two cabins, one staff cabin and one captain’s cabin), hotel services with additional cold and dry stores, and the diesel-electric engine, an engineering marvel in its own right.

Feadship has been at the forefront of eco-friendly yacht construction for many years and with Sakura reaffirms its winning vision. Sakura will feature an efficient diesel-electric propulsion system, coupled with IMO-Tier III compliant generators and electric thrusters, dramatically reducing both fuel consumption and engine noise. This system has been engineered to be supported by alternative energy sources in the future, ensuring that Sakura remains at the cutting edge of yachting for years to come. She will unleash all her power through her two 1250kW propulsion pods reaching max speed of 14.5 knots and can up to 4,500 NM at cruising speed of 12 knots in optimal sailing conditions or cradle her guests when will be at anchor with the reliable zero speed stabilizers. The support of the valuable MTU generators will be a plus for modern sustainability.

As Sakura nears completion, anticipation builds among discerning yachting enthusiasts who appreciate not only luxury and beauty but also a commitment to sustainability. With its captivating design, meticulous craftsmanship, and forward-thinking technology, Sakura embodies the epitome of Feadship’s unrivaled excellence. Prepare to embark on a journey of elegance and timeless beauty aboard Sakura – the superyacht that sets a new paradigma for the future of luxury yachting.
