The splendid CORAL OCEAN has made a triumphant return to the sea, having first been launched back in 1994 under its original name, CORAL ISLAND. Built in the German shipyard Lürssen, she is a shining light of the ocean, designed by the godfather of nautical design, Jon Banneberg. Today, after a thorough restyling, she is about to go on new adventures, to the full satisfaction of her new owner, meeting the needs of demanding charterers in search of absolute comfort and privacy. This 73-metre (238 ft) long, 13-metre (42 ft) beam yacht with her impressive 1500 GT volume, steel hull and aluminum superstructure, is ready to be shown off after being hidden from the public for a long time.
When first launched, she was considered one of the most iconic projects of the German shipyard, standing out for her harmonious proportions. This is one aspect that has never gone out of style.
Her refurbishment lasted about two years, at STP Shipyard Palma, in Majorca, which was chosen, after extensive studies, as the right place for making changes on both the inside and outside.
Over all four decks the design maintains a stylistic continuity, wrapped in extravagant details, from wall embroidery to mood lighting. The white reflective surfaces are accented with green and blue tones, giving her a real sense of fresh elegance and style.
CORAL OCEAN can host up to twelve guests in six beautiful and elegant cabins, which have all been refurbished to the exact same standard, making every guest on board feel completely at home.
The main deck offers spaces that can be adapted to any private or public occasion. The main saloon features the original 5-metre shell door that opens to create a balcony overlooking the sea for an iconic evening cocktail party on the water. The dining area seats up to 14 guests. The centre of this space has been skilfully designed by Blaine North, careful choosing each element to create a unique experience, also for a formal dinner with the onboard chef ready to satisfy sophisticated palates, thanks to a well-stocked and pantry and galley that has been completely redesigned, like the adjoining crew mess, available to the professional on-board crew. The vessel’s officers are housed forward on the main deck.
The main deck also features an indoor and outdoor gym with ocean views, providing the perfect setting for workout sessions using the latest gear. The opening sides allow you to exercise while taking in breathtaking views, the water is so close you will want to jump straight in after your workout.
Going up to the bridge deck there is a large and very private relaxation area aft, with sofas for all guests, which can be turned into a movie theatre. Guests can go to the bar in this area and have cocktails prepared by real bartenders. Here you will find a rare and original VIP Suite, generously sized and offering quality services, with its own lounge. This is an attractive feature for charterers who want to give guests the best of the best.
The wheelhouse at the bow, with a separate access, is where the captain performs all on-board operations, coordinates the 22-strong crew and rests as needed in his private room.
Carrying on with our exploration of the craft, the Owner’s deck offers a real surprise, with a significant transformation that has doubled the space of the master bedroom. At the entrance the two-metre skylight overlooks the pool located on the Sundeck. The second skylight is located directly above the double bed, and is completely blacked-out at night. The windows have been enlarged to offer a 180-degree panoramic view from the super-size king bed, for striking views right from the time of waking up. The master bedroom is equipped with his and her en suite bathrooms with infrared sauna, hair salon and a private lounge area. Adjoining the Suite is a treatment room, a private sanctuary for your health and beauty needs, just like a real spa.
Aft of the owner’s suite is a completely renovated space that can host events of any size and type. The sliding glass panels and heated ceiling shelter guests against the wind and offer both an indoor and outdoor experience, comfortable for beautiful Mediterranean days and evenings, even in milder months with cooler breezes. At the centre is a Paola Lenti table for up to 12 guests and two elegantly designed retractable lounge tables, making it possible to accommodate up to 32 people, ideal for a large dinner in the marina. The area also has two bars and service areas, with a pizza oven, teppanyaki grill and kitchen utensils, providing the ultimate chef entertainment experience.
The jewel in the crown is the new Sundeck, entirely overhauled to create an incredibly open and flexible space, equipped with the latest essential features, such as the surrounding glass balustrades that offer unobstructed views. The spa pool, redesigned with a glass bottom and designed for complete relaxation, allows guests to admire spectacular coastal views. The spacious Sun Lounge offers the ultimate in relaxing fabric mattresses and sunshade cover, allowing you to relax in absolute comfort. Dedar fabric can be found forward on the sundeck and aft of the other outside decks, making for a charming aerial view. An indoor bar with floor-to-ceiling retractable glass windows offers an indoor-outdoor experience, while an 85-inch ceiling-mounted television is available for al fresco movie nights.
On the lower deck are four more generous guest bedrooms, complete with king-sized beds and their own luxurious en suite bathrooms, where guests can relax after a long day or easily reach the spa area on the lower deck, providing direct access to the water or the quiet, large steam room, decorated with relaxing mosaic tiles.
CORAL OCEAN is officially open for charter bookings in the Mediterranean and Caribbean, and is also attractive to younger generations with her store full of water toys.
Also available for is an 11.5m (38ft) Pardo tender and two Ribs, useful for pleasant forays to pristine beaches.
