Comfort and sophisticated design are the key words of the new 35.5m / 116ft yacht built by Benetti, seen in the spaces intended for owners and guests.
Mr Loui is the latest model of the Mediterraneo 116′, a creation of the Benetti family designed by Giorgio M. Cassetta. This 35.5-metre yacht in fibreglass and carbon fibre is distinguished by its strong, sinuous lines and large windows, achieving great luminosity for the interiors, designed for comfort and perfect hospitality by Ezequiel Farca and the Benetti Interior Style Department.
All on-board spaces are exploited to the maximum, to the extent of installing an elevator for movement from deck to deck.
Comfort and sophisticated design are the key words of this superyacht, seen in the spaces intended for owners and guests. This includes two large outdoor dining areas – one of which in the huge cockpit of the Upper Deck, enjoying a width of over six metres.
The 80 square-metre Sun Deck, with two large dining areas and comfortable sunbathing areas, transforms into a private terrace for intimate parties and family celebrations. Guests are served from a large barbecue, offering Sunday snacks and evening meals off Caribbean shores. There is also an indoor dining table, for fruitful breakfasts, appointed with all the necessary details of conviviality and sharing.
In conceiving the interiors, the architect Ezequiel Farca experimented with new uses and adaptations of marble, wood, and leather, creating a sense of warm and cold passages with the help of iconic objects. The owners themselves illuminate their environments as they wish, choosing among original and sophisticated Swarovski chandeliers.
The Main Deck features a large lounge with dining and relaxation areas, illuminated by windows three metres in width. Natural lighting is backed by a powerful interior system, programmed for operation in continuous harmony with the exterior environment. In the bow is the owner’s suite, with panoramic windows for breathtaking views of late evening sunsets. Here again light plays a fundamental role, with particular contributions from large windows and glass doors.
Guests are hosted on the Lower Deck at stern, in two facing VIP rooms, each with double beds. Also on this deck are two smaller cabins equipped with sliding single and pullman beds, for total accommodation of four more guests.
The captain berths on the upper deck in quarters next to the control panel, for ease of management over all situations and the seven crew members.
Mr Loui is ideal for effortless Caribbean sailing, but can also tackle the highest seas without fear, given the thrust of two 1600 hp CAT ACER C32 D-Rated engines ‒ achieving peak speeds of 15 knots and top speeds at optimal fuel consumption of 10 knots over 3,000 nautical miles. Electrical stabilizing fins improve on- board comfort, both at sea and at anchor.
This is a superyacht designed to cover thousands of miles, respecting the timeless philosophy of assets that acquire still more value with the accumulation of family memories.
